This is a long hallway that is blocked by some debris about halfway down.
Once you are ready to proceed, step through the door next to the waiting room that leads to the Security Station. There is also a Save Station on the adjacent wall. Interact with it to Override the Station Lockdown and activate the Tram, which will allow you to start using the train to travel between areas on the Ishimura.
Walk inside the waiting room to find an Item Box, some Credits, and Ammo in the corner.Įxit and approach the computer next to the Tram Deck. Open your inventory and equip the Pulse Rifle, giving you a new offensive option.
The Pulse Rifle's alternate fire allows you to shoot a proximity grenade, which is amazing for dealing with groups of enemies. It is worse at dismembering and staggering enemies, but it is still worth holding onto for its moderate damage. The Pulse Rifle is an automatic weapon that favors spraying and praying as opposed to the surgical precision of the Plasma Cutter.
